Instructions and Help about condominium lien form
so you've heard a lot about condo conversions and you're wondering what's the process how do I get started my name is Deirdre Brown I'm a settlement agent serving DC Maryland and Virginia and today I'm going to talk to you about the condo conversion process first you have to determine is the property eligible to be converted and really what DC is asking and that first step is is the property vacant if it's vacant you'll file for an exemption it was not vacant we have a few more steps that we need to take in order to get the property approved to be converted then we're going to work with the office of the surveyor and your architect is going to provide your plots and plans where we're asking for a zoning approval this may also require you to ask for variance you're then going to submit the condo conversion registration which is basically the application now it is not one piece of paper it's actually a binder where you'll have all types of legal documents as well as documents describing the condo conversion project in that dock in that binder you'll send that off to DC for approval they have up to 60 days to review your registration and if they approve it the very last step is you'll be assigned do tax Square and lot IDs for your property and then at that point you're able to sell the properties to the public if you want more information about this process you can click on the link below and get my DC condo conversion guide
